Three region-specific designs celebrate 30 years of gaming and ’90s culture, launching Fall 2025

(BOSTON) September 29, 2025 – Today, Reebok, the iconic sportswear brand, announced the launch of three new limited edition sneaker designs that pay tribute to the unique gaming and pop culture of the 1990s. These designs will be region-specific, celebrating the diversity and influence of different parts of the world in the gaming and fashion industries.

For the past 30 years, gaming has been a major part of our lives, shaping our culture and bringing people together from all over the world. The ’90s, in particular, were a golden age for gaming, with the rise of home consoles and the explosion of the internet, paving the way for online gaming and global communities. Reebok recognizes the impact of gaming on our society and wants to honor this milestone by launching these exclusive designs that capture the essence of the ’90s.

The first design, called “Boston Boom,” pays homage to the birthplace of Reebok and the city’s vibrant gaming scene. This design features a black and white colorway with neon green accents, inspired by the iconic 8-bit graphics of classic games. The sneaker also includes a “Penny Up” logo on the tongue, a nod to the popular phrase used by gamers when they win a round.

The second design, “Tokyo Tech,” embraces the Japanese gaming culture that influenced the world with its unique and innovative concepts. This design features a sleek white and red colorway, inspired by the futuristic and minimalist style of Japanese design. The sneaker also includes a “Player One” logo on the heel, a tribute to the first player in a multiplayer game.

Last but not least, the third design, “London Level Up,” is a celebration of the diversity and creativity of the gaming community in London. This design features a bold mix of colors, including purple, green, and orange, paying homage to the colorful street art and fashion of the city. The sneaker also features a “Game On” logo on the side, representing the competitive spirit of gamers in London.

Each design will come with a unique packaging that includes a reversible shoebox featuring iconic ’90s gaming characters and a limited edition keychain. These designs will be available exclusively at select Reebok stores and online retailers across the three regions.

“We are excited to launch these three region-specific designs that honor the legacy of gaming and the vibrant culture of the ’90s,” said Jenna Smith, Reebok’s Global Head of Marketing. “Gaming has been a significant part of our lives and has influenced the fashion industry in many ways. With these designs, we want to celebrate this milestone and pay tribute to the diverse gaming communities across the world.”

These limited edition designs mark a long-standing partnership between Reebok and the gaming industry, with collaborations with popular games like Fortnite, Assassin’s Creed, and Gears of War. Reebok has always been at the forefront of innovation and creativity, and these designs are a testament to the brand’s commitment to honoring the culture of gaming.

“We are thrilled to partner with Reebok on this exciting launch,” said Hiroshi Tanaka, Head of Design at a popular Japanese gaming company. “These designs truly capture the essence of the ’90s gaming culture and pay tribute to the different regions’ unique styles and influences. We believe these sneakers will be a hit among gamers and sneakerheads alike.”

The three region-specific designs will be available for purchase starting Fall 2025, just in time for the holiday season. With limited quantities produced, these sneakers are expected to sell out quickly, so make sure to grab a pair before they are gone. Reebok invites everyone to join in the celebration of 30 years of gaming and ’90s culture with these exclusive designs. It’s time to level up your sneaker game and relive the nostalgia of the ’90s.
