Later, Hajdu was forcibly relocated into the Budapest ghetto, where he remained until liberation.

Today, nearly nine decades later, teddy remains the sole surviving artifact from Hajdu's childhood—a tangible reminder of a lost world and a testament to the enduring bond between a child and a cherished possession during humanity's bleakest hours.
